Released by the Florida Highway Patrol   …

The Florida Highway Patrol is not currently releasing the name of the individual killed in a crash this morning on State Road 81 in Holmes County; however they have stated that Daivd Cox and Janet Cox, both of Ponce de Leon, received “serious” injuries in what was a three vehicle crash.

According to the FHP,  a 2000 Saturn LS1, driven by the unidentified person, was southbound on State Road 81 around 10:30 a.m. and traveled into the northbound lane of travel.  This caused the front of the Saturn to collide with the left side of a 2016 Nissan, driven by 36-year-old Dustin Mann of Monticello, Kentucky.  Upon colliding with the Nissan, the front of Saturn collided with the front of a 2014 Dodge Ram driven by David Cox.

The Saturn then rotated 90 degrees clockwise and became fully engulfed in flames with the driver still entrapped inside the vehicle.
