Released by the Florida Highway Patrol ….
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that 41-year-old Jana Baggett of Marianna, Florida died May 27th in a traffic crash on U.S. Hwy 231 in Jackson County.
According to the FHP report Baggett was driving a 2017 Toyota Rav 4 northbound on US 231 in the left lane of the southbound lanes (driving the wrong way) at the time of the accident.
FHP reports that 54-year-old Andrew Bellamy of Atlanta, Georgia, was driving a 2018 Toyota Corolla southbound on U.S. 231 in the left lane and was uanble to avoid the Bagett’s Toyota. The left front of the Bellamy’s Toyota struck the left front of Bagett’s Toyota and it came to rest on the grass median facing south.
Both Bellamy and his passenger, Tashante Anderson, of Austell, Georgia,received “serious” injuries in the accident.
