The Wheeler Family Foundation Spring Challenge Grant to Florida Citizens Alliance Amazing Success! …………………

Released by the Florida Citizens Alliance   …

“It is with great excitement and humility Florida Citizens Alliance (FLCA) announces that we have achieved 118% of the Wheeler Family Foundation $50,000 Spring Challenge!”

We sincerely thank Michaelon Wright and the Wheeler Family Foundation for issuing this challenge. The goal of this 2 month challenge required Florida Citizens Alliance to raise $50,000 in donations. If we reached the goal by May 31, The Foundation would provide a $25,000 grant. As of midnight May 31, donations to the Spring Challenge totaled $58,767.

Frankly at the beginning, this looked like a “bridge too far” for FLCA, a 2 year old 501c(3) Coalition focused on K-12 Education Reform in Florida. But the Foundation and Michaelon believe in the work we are doing and had the confidence we could do it, motivating us and our supporters to this lofty goal.

We also owe a big thank you to every donor for their generous support. We are especially grateful for the generosity of to those on the leaderboard who donated $1,000 or more to the Spring Challenge. The Naegele Family Foundation started us off with a $10,000 donation.

“Thank you all for demonstrating your confidence in what we do to fight for the future of our Florida children—“Florida Kids Deserve Better” and we are dedicated and passionate to do everything we can do to make it so!”
