Washington County School Superintendent Joe Taylor was proud to introduce Elijah Hooks at Monday night’s meeting of the Washington County School Board.
Hooks (shown above with Taylor) was selected to be a part of the Florida House Page and Messenger Program held recently in Tallahassee. This program was a week-long program for all students across the state of Florida. His duties were to deliver mail assisting the Representatives on the House Floor. Hooks said while in this program he had the opportunity to meet many prominent Representatives and political figures of the State of Florida.
Hooks has also been slected to serve as a delegate for the American Legion Boys State Program which is a week-long political camp hosted at FSU. Over 500 boys from all around the State were chosen to attend, but he will be the only Delegate representing Washington County.
