The Florida-Alabama TPO Project Priorities public workshops took place on May 9, 15, 16, and 22. The Public Involvement and Transportation teams solicited public comment on the prioritization of the LRTP Cost Feasible Plan. The Cost Feasible Plan is reprioritized annually based on funding and the needs of the communities within the TPO study area. The Project Priorities, with input received from the workshops, will be presented the TPO, TCC, and CAC at the July meetings. |
The Bay County TPO held two workshops to solicit input on amendments to the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan. The workshops took place on May 13 at Panama City Hall and at Gulf Coast State College. Both workshops provided the community the opportunity to provide input on the following 13 amendments:
1. US 231 (SR 75) from SR 30A (US 98) to 23rd Street (SR 368)
2. SR 77 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd) from SR 30A (US 98) to 23rd Street (SR 368)
3. US 231 (SR 75) from 23rd Street (SR 368) to Pipeline Road
4. Transmitter Road (CR 2327) from C Street to Brooke Street.
5. US 231 (SR 75) from Pipeline Road to Penny Road
6. SR 30A (US 98) Panama City Beach Parkway from Mandy Lane to Nautilus Street
. SR 30A (US 98) Panama City Beach Parkway from Nautilus Street to Richard Jackson Boulevard
8. SR 30A (US 98) Panama City Beach Parkway from Richard Jackson Boulevard to Hathaway Bridge
9. East Avenue from Port Entrance to SR 30 (US 98B)
10. CR 389 (East Avenue) from SR 30 (US 98B) to CR 2337 (Sherman Avenue)
11. West Bay Parkway from SR 30 (US 98A) in Walton County to SR 79
12. Jenks Avenue from Baldwin Road to SR 390
13. New Connector Road from CR 2321/SR 390 to Titus Road
The amendments will be presented, along with public comments received at the workshops, to the Bay County TPO, TCC, and CAC at the June 26 meetings for final approval.

The Bay County TPO will hold the final TPO/TCC/CAC workshop at Panama City Hall on Monday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m. The Project Priorities, with input received from the workshops, will be presented the TPO, TCC, and CAC at the July 24 meetings.
