The Washington County Chamber of Commerce recently completed their first ‘LEAD Washington County’ in a few years and graduates of the leadership development program were recognized at Thursday’s Chamber of Commerce luncheon held at the Specialty Center at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.

Those who completed the course were quick to praise the program, and said the information they garnered about their community, and leadership skills they gained were very important.  Now they are also encouraging more Washington County residents to participate in the upcoming 2019-2020 LEAD Washington County class.

Over the nine-month program, the Class will learn about all aspects of industry, health and human services and government in Washington County through in-field visits, trips and contact with current leadership.  Class members will also participate in programs that develop their person leadership development, and, working as a team, have the opportunity to address a realtime need of problem in Washington County.

Supporters of the program said it helps participants understand all aspects of business and community in Washington County, while developing leadership skills to apply not only in business and community, but also personally.

Applications for the upcoming LEAD Washington County are available at the Washington County Chamber of Commerce  office in Chipley, or online at washcommall.com.  For more information contact the Chamber at 850-638-4157.

The deadline to apply for the 2019-2010 Class is Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019.
