Released by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office …
PONCE DE LEON – A verbal altercation at a Ponce de Leon residence resulted in drug charges for both involved on Tuesday, June 18.
Deputies with Holmes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1546 Government Street home of 47-year-old Robert D Queen and 56-year-old Janet L. Solomon shortly before 9 p.m.
During the course of the investigation, Queen left on foot. A warrants check revealed that Solomon had an active warrant for violation of probation. A search of the residence was conducted, during which deputies found a smoking pipe that held a white crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, a broken pipe that also appeared to have been for methamphetamine use, a set of scales, and a pipe containing marijuana residue.
Solomon was arrested on the existing warrant for violation of probation and further charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
A warrant was also issued for the arrest of Queen for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
