In a meeting late Monday afternoon the Wausau Town Council, in a 4-0 vote (with Councilman Roger Hagan absent), voted to accept into record the FY 2017-2018 Audit presented by Hilton Galloway CPA, with Carr Riggs and Ingram.
Commenting that the Town is “operating on a shoestring,” Galloway said the Town’s short term debt will be paid down at the end of this year and added that the Town is working it’s way out of debt, except for the long term debt of the water department.
However, Galloway added that the water department is operating at a basically “break even” level.
