The Washington County School Board led off Monday evening’s meeting with the recognition of Elijah Hooks for his invovlement in the 2019 Boys State. The only representative from Washington County attending the activities, Hooks was also recognized as the Assistant Justice Supreme and presented the gavel shown above at the Boys State activities. Hooks thanked the School Board for the opportunity to represent Washington County at Boys State.
School Board members also entended congratulations to Jesse Carter, who became the Assistant Principal at Roulhac Middle School in Chipley as of July 2nd.
The School Board approved the following agenda items at Monday’s meeting (all in 4-0 votes, with School Board member Susan Roberts absent):

- Contract with Advanced Medical Personnel Service
- Contract with Vis-Abilities, Inc.
- Additions and renovations to LRC at Florida Panhandle Technical College
- Employment recommendation of Clara Jones as Career Counselor for the District
- Resignation of Dyann Seldon as teacher at W.A.V.E.
- Resignation of Melissa Stewart, paraprofessional at W.A.V.E. and employment as data entry-bookkeeper
- Employment recommendation of Alena Blevins as receptionist at W.A.V.E.
