TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis released the following statement on the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the moon:
CFO Jimmy Patronis said, “Fifty years ago today, America set its sights towards the stars and accomplished the truly astonishing goal of a successful mission to the moon. The Apollo 11 lunar mission, launched from Florida’s own Kennedy Space Center, was a gigantic triumph for all Americans and a revolutionary moment in human history. This mission sparked the imagination of millions of people for generations and proves to this day that a driven human spirit and hard work can accomplish amazing things.
“Thank you to the astronauts who risked their lives and the thousands of dedicated men and women who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this incredible mission possible.”
