In their second July meeting the Washington County Planning Commission voted 5-0 to approve a Special Exception Application from the City of Chipley that will allow development of a sprayfield for the City of Chipley on 485 acres at 33 Pike Pond Road.
The project had come before the Commissioners earlier in the month, but lack of a quorum at that meeting resulted in no action being taken.
At their meeting Tuesday commissioners took input from the public, along with the engineering firm overseeing the project, before giving their approval and will now refer the final decision process to the Washington County Board of County Commissioners.
The Planning Commission also approved the following agenda items:
- Special Exception Application from Joseph Slay for for a single-family home on property on Lucas Road.
- Variance Application of five feet for Susan Stone for property located at 2257 Radcliff Circle. The neighbors said they have no objection to the setback variance for placement of a shed.
- Development Review Application from Kris Mitchell for Kirkland Road. This will allow for construction of multi-family rental apartments on the property.
