Released by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission …
On behalf of all of us at the FWC and our partners invested in the health of Florida’s coral reefs, thank you for your interest in coral conservation.
Many of you may have heard about the FL Coral Crew – and we thank you for joining. If you haven’t, be sure to check out FLCoralCrew.com.
The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida will be conducting a raffle later this week and everyone signed up for the Coral Crew will be entered for a chance to win some great prizes. Winners will be notified by email. Visit FLCoralCrew.com for official rules.
As a sportsman myself, I know how much we all care about conservation. Your interest in coral conservation and commitment to the Coral Crew is so important. We will continue to use FLCoralCrew.com and this email distribution list to share more about Florida’s reef tract, updates on the disease event and rescue efforts, and keep you informed on how you can get involved. Together we can make a difference.
I hope you have the opportunity to get out and enjoy Florida’s vast and beautiful natural resources. As a reminder, here are some coral-friendly tips that you can practice while you’re in the water:
• Avoid touching corals.
• Don’t anchor near corals.
• Clean diving gear.
• Use environmentally-friendly sunscreens.
Stay tuned for more ways to get involved.
Thanks again!
Eric Sutton
