Drone Manufacturer Expands in Northwest Florida

 

 

Skyborne Technology, Inc., a designer and developer of manned and unmanned next generation aviation systems recently located in Gulf County, Northwest Florida. The company chose the region specifically to have immediate access to manned and unmanned aircraft pilots, skilled manufacturing labor for composites, as well as aircraft aluminum, and high bullet proof fabrics.

Skyborne’s unprecedented success in Northwest Florida has led them to expand in less than a year, with the recent acquisition of the Costin Airport in Port St. Joe, Gulf County.  Triumph Gulf Coast awards nearly $1 Million to develop NWFL’s Unmanned Aerial Systems workforce

 

 

Northwest Florida is enhancing our unmanned aerial systems (UAS) workforce through various programs at high schools, state colleges, and UAS companies throughout the region. Gulf Coast State College, Gulf County School District, Skyborne Technology, Inc., and Unmanned Systems, Inc. has started UAS programs to develop a pipeline for the next generation of UAS pilots and manufacturers.

Triumph Gulf Coast awarded a $750,000 grant to the Gulf County School District to develop a multi-phased UAS program. This grant will be used to cover the cost of equipment, storage buildings, curriculum development, and supplies. The program will graduate at least 200 students with industry certifications in small UAS safety and visual line of sight. Read More.
