Orlando, Fla – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis spoke at the Florida League of Cities 93rd annual conference to highlight hurricane recovery efforts, education priorities and key initiatives to restore Florida’s environment. The Governor was joined by Altamonte Springs Mayor Pat Bates and Florida League of Cities President Leo Longworth.
“Since the start of my administration, we’ve worked hard to make Florida a stronger state,” said Governor DeSantis. “Whether we are ensuring hurricane-impacted communities recover, improving our education system for our students or protecting Florida’s environment, we will remain focused on making Florida a better state for all.”
The Florida League of Cities, formed in 1922, was created to serve the needs of Florida’s cities and promote local self-government. Their annual conference provides an opportunity for municipal officials and senior staff to enhance leadership skills, learn from municipal experts, share ideas with peers discuss strategies for Florida’s future and hear about the latest in products and services for municipal governments.
