A message from Tom & Brenda Stallworth

Central Panhandle Area Coordinators

Greetings to you, your church or your organization from the Central Panhandle Team of Operation Christmas Child.

So much happened to all of us last year through Hurricane Michael which hit us just before our National Collection Week. We know how it was because we live in Mexico Beach.

Many people lost their homes, some churches lost their buildings, and some even lost the boxes they had already prepared.  Some folks were able to pack and collect shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child and others of you were not able to pack and collect.  Yet to our amazement our area packed and collected over 11,000 shoeboxes.

Things are certainly still not like they once were.  Yet hopefully most of us have recovered enough to get back on our feet, and are able to get back involved in this wonderful ministry.

We are hosting two important events in our area on Saturday, September 14th.  In the morning at 9, we will be at First United Methodist Church of Panama City.  We will be providing lots of information about Operation Christmas Child this year.

On that same evening at 6:30, we will be hosting a meet and greet at Eastside Baptist Church in Marianna.

Alina Aisina, who received an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift as a child in a Central Asian country, will be speaking at both events.  Anyone and everyone is invited to both of these events.  The morning event in Panama City is particularly important for everyone who leads their church’s or organization’s participation in Operation Christmas Child.
