The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is seeking input on draft Species Conservation Measures and Permitting Guidelines for seven species. The draft Guidelines and more information can be found at: https://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/wildlife/species-guidelines.

 

Species Conservation Measures and Permitting Guidelines are intended to provide information on rule requirements as they relate to permitting.  They also provide information on species range, survey methodology, and voluntary practices that can benefit the species.

 

The Commission is currently seeking public comments on draft Species Conservation Measures and Permitting Guidelines for the following species:

Webinars during the public comment period

Key information included in the Guidelines will be presented at three public webinars.  The webinars also offer an opportunity to ask questions.  Each webinar will offer the same information.  Participation in the webinar will require access to a computer AND access to a telephone. Those that do not have computer access can listen in on the phone.

Webinars are scheduled for the following dates:

  • Tuesday, September 10th from 9:00am to 11:00am (ET): Persons may also view this webinar at the following location where staff will be available to accept comments in person: Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, 1239 SW 10th Street, Ocala, FL 34471.
  • Thursday, September 12th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm (ET)
  • Wednesday, September 18th from 10:30am to 12:30pm (ET)
