The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Joshua Steve Webb, 19, of Chipley, died as a result of injuries received in an early morning Sept. 7th crash on State Road 79 in Holmes County.

According to the FHP, Webb was traveling north on State Road 79 in a 2004 Toyota Tacoma at East Martin Road when  a deer ran into the path of the vehicle, causing the front of the vehicle to collide with the animal.

After the collision, the Toyota traveled across the southbound lane, and onto the west shoulder of the highway.  It then continued traveling in a northwestly direction colliding with a culvert, which caused the vehicle to become airborne.  After the Toyota landed, it began to overturn, throwing the driver from the vehicle.  The vehicle came to final rest overturned and facing east on the west shoulder of  State Road 79.
