It’s important that we remember that we live in a nation where you are free to worship the God of your choice, but that is not true true in every country around the globe.
I had the opportunity Monday morning to listen to a young woman who knows first hand the danger of worshipping a God your government doesn’t recognize.
Alaina spoke at breakfast at Shiloh Baptist Church Monday morning to stress the important role a box from Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child can play in the life of a child anywhere around the world.
Alaina (who prefers that her last name not be given) took listeners back to when she was a small child and her father abandoned their family because her mother chose Christ over the Muslin religion of their country.
She grew up on a one room residence with her mother and siblings. They were poor, but she held true to her belief in God and He took care of them.
Then one Christmas she received a Shoebox through Samaitan’s Purse and she shared the Joy and Love she experienced when she opened the box. Her message … pray for those who don’t believe and tell people about the Lord.
Along with telling the world about the Lord, Alaina supports the Sanaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child program and encourages local churches, clubs and organizations to participate in the program.
