During their Oct. 1st meeting the Washington County Planning Commission held three Public Hearings with a number of questions from those at the session. The hearings were held on the following agenda items:
- Future Land Use Amendment for Nicholas and Julie Dillard for a parcel of property on Clayton Road.
- Special Exception Application from Chanley Gilbert and Julie Morris to allow a Campground/Recreational Vehicle (RV) Park within the Agricultural/Silvicultural Future Land Use designation for a parcel of property on Hwy 79. This issue received questions about noise control, buffering, and other areas of concern from neighboring property owners.
- A Text Amendment to remove Section 10.05.02N., Type XIII Special Exception from the County’s Land Development Code.
All three of the items were given approval by the Planning Commission and will now move to the Washington County Board of County Commissioners for their approval.
