Judge Timothy Register administered the oaths of office to returning Chipley City Council members Tracy Andews and Tommy Sasser at Tuesday evening’s council meeting.
Leading off the business portion of Tuesday evening’s meeting Tracy Andews was reappointed Mayor by her fellow councilmembers and Brett Butler was appointed Mayor Pro-Tem.
The following Council Liaisons were named:
- Brett Butler – CRA, Historic Merchants of Chipley
- Tommy Sasser – Code Enforcement
- Kevin Russell – Cemetery, Recreation and Public Works
- Linda Cain – Fire Department
- Tracy Andews – Administration and TDC
The following updated minutes were approved in 5-0 votes:
- Aug. 19th Special Workshop
- Sept. 5th Regular Workshop
- Sept. 10th Regular Meeting
- Sept. 10th Tentative Millage and Budget Adoption Hearing
- Sept. 26th Special Meeting
- Sept. 26th Final Millage and Budget Adoption Hearing
The following agenda items were also approved in 5-0 votes:
- Public Hearing for Ordinance No. 958 – Amending Natural Gas Rates
- Resolution No. 20-01 FRDAP Grant Application for Pals Park Phase IX (Splash Pad).
- Resolution No. 20-02 FRDAP Grant Applicaiton for Pals Park Phase X (Splash Pad).
- Employee Classification Document Addition – Water Utilities Deparmtent – Collection Ssytem Crewman 1.
- Special Event Application for Council on Aging Peanut Boil and Music Fest set for Nov. 2nd from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Train Station in Downtown Chipley.
- Special Event Application for Relay For Life of Washington/Holmes to be held at Pal’s Park April 7, 2020.
- Special Event Application for First Baptist Church Fall Festival to be held Oct. 30th from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
- Special Event Application for the Roulhc Reunion Oct. 11th – 13th at Gilmore Park
- Appointment of Wanda Owens to the Chipley Housing Authority.
