Wausau Plans ‘Trunk or Treat’, Fish Fry and Haunted House for Halloween Celebration on Saturday, October 26, 2019

In an effort to give the children and families in the town of Wausau, Florida a safe alternative to the risky practice of house-to-house ‘trick or treating’ this Halloween season,  the Wausau Town Council and Wausau Recreation Department is sponsoring a Fish Fry, Haunted House and ‘Trunk or Treat’ on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Following the lead of Chipley and Vernon, both of whom have embraced the ‘trunk or treat’ practice, Wausau will offer a children-safe and family-friendly event on Saturday, October 26, with a fish fry at the Wausau Possum Palace at 11AM followed by a trunk or treat event from 5:30-7:30PM, with businesses and private individuals contributing candy and treat to all participants.

The event will be followed by a haunted house, not for the faint of heart, and which promises to give all attendees a rousing good time.

The ‘up’ side is that ‘trick or treaters’ will be able to attend the ‘trunk or treat’ events in Chipley, Vernon and Wausau, or any combination of the three, all on the same night.  Happy Halloween!
