Members of the Wausau Town Council accepted the resignation of Councilwoman Carol West at their Nov. 14th Council meeting. West asked the council to accept her resignation from her position as a Town Council Member be effective immediately.
In her letter of resignation, West said, “I have enjoyed my time serving the people of Wausau and working with my fellow council members, but due to family obligations I need this time with them. Thank you for your cooperation and I look forward to serving again in the future. This has been a difficult decision for me, but this is what I need to do.”
Council members also approved the following agenda items that came before them at Thursday night’s council meeting:
- Payment of Town bills
- Minutes and Training Records of the Wausau Fire Department
- FDEP Inspection Report
- Animal registrations
- Closure of the Town Hall office Nov. 25th-28th
- Appointment of Sam Rudd as Fire Chief for 2019-2020
Council members also set a Quarterly Workshopfor 5 p.m. on December 5th, with their Regular Meeting to follow.
