Florida Welcomed 31.6 million Visitors in Q3 2019 …………………

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – VISIT FLORIDA estimates 31.6 million visitors traveled to Florida in the third quarter of 2019. Of these visitors, preliminary estimates show 28.6 million were domestic, 2.6 million were overseas visitors and 499,000 came from Canada.

Total enplanements at Florida’s 19 major airports grew by 2.5 percent compared to Q3 last year, with 22.6 million enplaned passengers during Q3 of 2019. The number of hotel room nights sold in Florida decreased by 0.7 percent in Q3 of 2019 compared to the same period last year. Florida’s average daily room rate (ADR) increased by 0.6 percent when comparing the two quarters.

Additionally, after receiving updated information for Q2 2019’s visitation numbers, VISIT FLORIDA estimates the state welcomed a total of 32.9 million visitors during that period of time.
