Submitted by the Washington County Clerk of the Courts Office …
In 1932, builders set into motion constructing a courthouse in a Classical Revival architectural style, and for 84 years it proudly stood as a reminder of justice for our county. Sadly, after discovering a significant amount of irreparable damage to the base and black mold, it was demolished, and a new courthouse was constructed in its place by 2016.
November 2019 marks the three-year anniversary of the new and improved courthouse being opened to the public.
Housed within these freshly painted walls is the Office of the Washington County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller, Lora C. Bell.
