Ms. LaRue Tillman Huddleston, 77, of Wewahitchka, Florida, passed away Friday morning, December 6, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her daughters.
LaRue was born June 23, 1942 in Wewahitchka, FL to the late Elijah Betha Tillman and the late Bernice Alderman Tillman. She graduated from Port St. Joe High School in 1960 and Gulf Coast Community College in 1973. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wewahitchka. In 2002 she retired from the Gulf County School District after more than three decades of dedicated service.
Ms. Huddleston is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Clyde Ray Huddleston, II,; and her sister, Mildred Musselwhite.
She is survived by three daughters, Trezia Huddleston of Port St. Joe Beach, FL, Trudye Klement (Chris) of Canyon Lake, TX and Constance Huddleston of Wewahitchka, FL; three sisters, Gwendolyn Hughes (George) of Panama City, FL, Kate Ingle of Simpsonville, SC and Sharon Gaskin (Jerry) of Wewahitchka, FL; granddaughters, Cortne Amerson, Kaci Rhodes, Laura Johnson, Christen Hutson, Katie Klement, and Meredith Cantu; great-grandchildren, Adesyn Amerson, Kaley Rhodes, Jace Rhodes, Ellie Johnson, Hannah Johnson, Timothy Hudson, Lily Hudson, Abel Hudson; and two beloved pets, Zack and Stormy; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am CST, Monday, December 9, 2019 at First United Methodist Church of Wewahitchka with Rev. CJ Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the has requested donations be made to First United Methodist Church of Wewahitchka in memory of Ms. Huddleston.
