~The newly redesigned Big Brothers Big Sisters specialty license plate is now available statewide ~
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is pleased to announce the newly redesigned Big Brothers Big Sisters specialty license plate is now available in all tax collector and tag agency offices across the state. As of November 1, 2019, there were 6,459 valid registrations of the Big Brothers Big Sisters specialty license plate.
Floridians interested in purchasing the new specialty license plate are encouraged to visit their local tax collector or tag agency office. A list of locations can be found online at flhsmv.gov/locations. There will be a $25 specialty plate fee in addition to the other registration fees. A portion of the revenue from the sale of this plate will be allocated to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Association of Florida, Inc., to promote mentoring.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters specialty license plate was enacted by the Florida Legislature in 2013. This is the first redesign of the plate. A complete list of Florida’s specialty license plates can be found on the department’s website.
