ezVerify’s Cost Transparency Tools Provide Patient-Specific Prices
Tallahassee, Fla. – The Florida Hospital Association (FHA) and digital health company ezVerify, a subsidiary of Automated HealthCare Solutions, a national company, have announced a new partnership aimed at providing Florida patients with greater access to personalized health care cost information. Through the partnership, hospitals statewide can increase price transparency by providing patients with data on expected prices, co-pays, deductibles and total out-of-pocket costs specific to the patient’s own benefit plan.
“Florida’s hospitals have a long-standing commitment to transparency. That’s why we continue to look for opportunities to provide quick and easy access to information for all consumers,” said FHA Interim President Crystal Stickle. “Our partnership with ezVerify will build on this commitment by personalizing price information specific to the consumer’s own insurance product – using a tool that provides an unprecedented level of pricing detail and accuracy.”
The partnership encourages Florida’s hospitals to implement ezVerify tools within their own websites. Patients can log on to find cost information customized to the rates each health system has negotiated with payers, as well as the patient’s benefit plan or self-pay prices. The tool also:
- Verifies insurance coverage, copays, coinsurance and deductibles
- Provides quotes for total out-of-pocket costs
- Clearly lists what is, and is not, included in quoted prices
- Enables hospitals to connect patients directly to scheduling, payment and financial assistance services
- Allows consumers to rate services
- Provides patients with optional video and chat functionality

The new partnership provides an additional source of information to supplement the cost and quality information hospitals have provided on FHA’s MissiontoCare.org website since 2016. The site provides individual hospital price and quality information in an easy-to-use, searchable format.
