The general membership meeting of the Chipley Garden Club was hosted at the home of Jackie Seay on Wednesday and those attending were given the opportunity to tour the house and grounds of one of the older homes in Washington County.
The beautifully redone and updated home gave club members a glance into the past of the county and what can be done to the older residences.
Along with the delightful experience of seeing the home, club members learned they have a busy month ahead of them with the following activities planned:
- Feb. 14th Working with 4th graders a Kate Smith Elementary School to create dish gardens to be exhibited in the upcoming Youth Fair
- Feb. 15th – Great Backyard Bird Count
- Feb. 20th – Washington County Chamber of Commerce luncheon
- Feb. 25th-29th – Washington County Youth Fair
It was also announced that the club had purchased two trees and six azaleas that would be donated to Falling Waters State Park following the meeting.
