‘Friends’ planning for upcoming Game Night on March 12th   

Guest speaker Nicey Taylor Eller a 1977 graduate of Vernon High School.

Pat Dickson, President of the Washington County Friends of the Library, welcomed a full house of members and guests to the February meeting held at the First United Methodist Church in Chipley on Thursday.

Members of the Library support group were reminded of the March 12th Game Night being sponsored by the Friends.  The evening of fun will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Chipley in the John Wesley Building at 1285 Jackson Avenue.

Game Night will feature Bridge, Bunco, Canasta, Dominoes, Mahjong, and other games.  Tickets are $1 per person.  For more information call Sarah Franklin at 638-4167.

Guest speaker for the day was retired elementary school principal, Nicey Taylor Eller.  She  is also a published poet and prolific letter writer; however,  she remains active in education as a mentor and consultant, and she serves in her church as a teacher and Celebrate Recovery leader. She relishes brisk walks and has completed two half-marathon trail races, actually finishing before a few runners who were not injured.

Nicey thanked the Friends for their continued support of the Public Library System.
