Gopher Tortoise Day is only two months away!

Now is the time to contact your city and county commissioners to promote the adoption of a resolution recognizing April 10th as Gopher Tortoise Day.

Help your local government make a statement by showing others that your community values gopher tortoises and the important role they play as a keystone species.

Gopher Tortoise Day can also be recognized by businesses, schools, nature centers, parks, zoos, or anyone else that would like to raise awareness for this important, Threatened species. Your 2020 resolution will be showcased on the Gopher Tortoise Day website alongside the 49 resolutions adopted over the past few years.
