The VA Sunshine Healthcare Network (VISN 8) recently launched a new, first in VA, Clinical Contact Center that provides 24/7 virtual urgent care through telephone as well as VA Video Connect. Veterans can now get immediate urgent care from the comfort of their own home or wherever they may be by simply calling 1-877-741-3400. We’re already seeing positive results for thousands of Veterans each week!
The center is staffed with medical support assistants, nurses, licensed independent practitioners (such as ARNPs and doctors), and pharmacists. As you have probably already guessed, the center can address health concerns as well as assist with medication questions and prescriptions. The center has already serviced well over 100,000 calls since its launch in July.
