Experience the
Power of Poetry

Poetry Out Loud is a national poetry recitation competition for high school students. The goal is to provide students an opportunity to read and recite great poems while enhancing their public speaking and presentation skills. The 2020 Poetry Out Loud Florida Finals will be held in the University Student Center (USC) on the campus of USF St. Petersburg. See these students compete on Saturday, February 29th!

Florida Humanities and PBS Books are partnering to offer public libraries (or their associated Friends Groups or fiscal agents) up to $2,500 in funding to purchase democracy and civics books for circulation and create humanities-rich public programming. Deadline is March 16, 2020.
