Walmart has recently announced a new policy, in direct response to the demand for retail products, that will allow our more mature population an opportunity to make their shopping a little less frazzled-feeling.
Walmart announced that on every Tuesday, through April 28, 2020, the first hour of operation, which will be in advance of normal operating hours, will be open only to shoppers who have achieved 60 years of age or more, as a way to help manage shopping, as well as social distancing, during this time of health crisis.
Walmart, along with Publix and Dollar General, have offered similar opportunities and have forged new ground in this attempt to attract the aging population while allowing ease of shopping for those consumers.
Well done.
