Washington County Clerk’s Office closing lobby effective today ……………..

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic – and in accordance with direction from the Florida Supreme Court – Beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2020, the Lobby of the Clerks of Court’s Office will be closed to the public for all matters except the following emergency services:

  •  Child Support Payments
  •  Domestic Violence Injunctions
  •  Emergency Temporary Guardianship
  •  Protective Injunctions for Vulnerable Adults
  •  Marchman Act Cases
  •  Baker Act Cases

Many of our services are, and will remain, available online or be telephone, preventing the need of coming into the lobby in person.  For example:

  • Child support payments can be made online at   www3.myfloridacounty.com/child support/index.html
  • Official records can be recorded using Simplifile or eRecording.  For Simplifile, call 800- 460-5657, and for eRecording, call 866–652-0111 to begin sending your recordable documents electronically.  If you cannot eRecord, please call our office to schedule a drop off of your documents.
  • Civil lawsuits can be filed using the ePortal.  Call 850-577-4609 for more information.
  •  Traffic tickets and court fines/costs can be paid on phone at 850-638-6285.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Marriage Licenses will only be issued to Washington County residents by appointment only.  Please call our office to schedule an appointment.
  •  Passport applications are not being accepted until further notice.
  •  All foreclosure sales have been suspended and will be rescheduled.
