Washington County School Superintendent Joe Taylor has announced that per information released to School Districts from the Department of Education (DOE), students will not return to school until May 4, 2020.

District personnel, principals, and teachers will continue to conduct the District’s virtual instructional plan for home-based learning until schools reopen, engaging students/families directly in the learning process.  The District will continue to feed students, under the age of 18, both a breakfast and lunch.

Everyone is strongly urged to continue to adhere to the CDC guidelines for gatherings.  At present the limit is no more than 10 people in a single occupied space, as well as continue to practice social distancing.

Taylor says, “Our goal continues: keep everyone safe and finish out this school year.  I will continue to share updates and information on our websites, Facebook, and through our local news media.”
