Panama City, FL – Gulf Coast State College is pleased to announce that Cayla Petree has been named the Head Women’s Basketball Coach. Coach Petree will begin work immediately to assist with the recruiting efforts for the 2020 basketball season.
Cayla Petree has an extensive playing and coaching background, which gives her a unique perspective into the challenges that face student-athletes. She played for Texas Tech with NCAA Hall of Famer Women’s Basketball Coach Marsha Sharp, where the team reached NCAA Elite 8. Petree joins us from South Plains College in Levelland, TX and has also made coaching stops at New Mexico Junior College, Cisco Junior College, University of North Texas and Angelo State University.
