Released by the Emerald Coast Theatre …
We Have Moved ONLINE!
Though our doors are closed because of the current health crisis we are incredibly active ONLINE! Over the past two weeks our children’s classes of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians, Disney’s High School Musical 2, and the Film and Theatre Intensive have continued rehearsing and working on their skills all while staying home and social distancing!
We’ve had so much fun with the online classes we are offering three more opportunities for you to get involved online:
* A Virtual Talent Show: Roll the Video Camera and tape your self or whoever you are quarantined with and share your talent with ECTC!
* Camp SHINE at HOME: Advanced training for 3rd – 12th grade students that includes actor, dance, and vocal training, along with a final performance of The Show Must Go Online!
* Camp The Show Must Go Online: An online class where students rehearse, get coaching from an ECTC teaching artist, and perform in a collaborative online musical!
Check out all three of these wonderful opportunities as well as how you can help ECTC through this time below.

Camp “The Show Must Go ONLINE!”
April 14 – April 30 (Three Weeks)
3rd thru 5th Grade
CAMP The Show Must Go Online – Brushes With Greatness the Dental Hygiene Musical (written by: Beat by Beat) is a show within a show, and is all about a group of theatre students who are continuing their school musical from their respective homes while on quarantine. This play is one where every actor has their moment to shine! There are 20 roles in this show and every role has either a song or a monologue. Each actor (singer or non singer) will receive a 1 minute monologue or song to rehearse, video record, and upload remotely. When all the videos are played in order, they tell the hilarious story of a group of passionate students desperate to keep their musical alive…online!
This camp is for students from 3rd-5th grade and any level of performance experience is welcomed and encouraged to sign up. The class will meet in a large group once a week on Wednesdays from 11am until 12 pm or 12 to 1pm (if there is only one cast the large group will only meet from 11-12, but if there are two casts they will be separated between the two times), and then individual students will meet in shorter coaching sessions throughout the week to workshop their song/monologue assigned after casting.
Our online show(s) will go live on Thursday, April 30th at 4pm. The amazing part of an online performance is that all of your student’s family and friends can go online to watch their show live or watch the recording later!
