Hundreds Meet at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Florida To Pray for COVID-19 Victims and Caregivers on Thursday, April 16, 2020

Hundreds of people showed up for a prayer vigil at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Florida organized by First Baptist Church on Thursday evening, April 16, 2020, as seen in these photos by Real Florida Media.

The event was broadcast on 89.3FM, so that attendees might sit in their vehicles and maintain social distancing.

The gathering was in response to the need for solace and prayer for the victims of the Coronavirus as well as those who administer the care, putting their health and well-being behind those of other sin the process.

‘We are overwhelmed by the turnout from our community tonight as we gathered to pray’, said a spokesperson for First Baptist Church.

‘It was so good to see so many faces and can’t wait until we can gather again. He is faithful’.

People drove from near and far to attend last night’s vigil, one of many planned to come in response to the need for prayer in this time of uncertainty.
