CAA calls all artists to submit for new Virtual Exhibition …………………

Released by the Cultural Arts Alliance    …

We’ve been busily working on new ways to connect and create during this time of physical distancing. We know we need to focus on healing and that can often begin with art. Studies by Americans for the Arts show that art and creative activity in general can increase our sense of hope, self-worth and well-being. It decreases depression, anxiety and stress. Art unifies people, giving them a common connection to the beauty that exists around us.

With that in mind and to celebrate Art Month, we’re calling visual artists in any discipline to submit a maximum of two pieces to be considered for a virtual art exhibition, ‘From a Distance’, featuring work created by artists while “sheltering in place” because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The deadline for submissions is Sunday, May 3. Awards will be given for first, second and third place. ‘From A Distance’ will premiere on the CAA website beginning Friday, May 8 on what was originally planned as ArtsQuest Fine Arts Festival weekend. Please mark your calendar to join us on October 10 and 11, 2020 for the rescheduled ArtsQuest Festival in Grand Boulevard Town Center!
