A strike team of Florida Forest Service brush trucks arrived this afternoon and continue making progress on mop up operations by extinguishing hot spots near the fire perimeter.

The Glendale Fire in Washington County is 120 acres and is 100% contained.  Firefighers will continue monitoring this fire until it is determined to be controlled.

A low-pressure system moving through the area will temporarily increase relative humidity, but will dry very quickly fromt he expected increase of wind speed on Saturday and Sunday.  Due to the ongoing fire danger levels, officials with the Chipola Forestry Center are continuing to not issue burn authorizations in Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Walton and Washington Counties.
