Washington County, Florida Starts A Return to the ‘New ‘Normal’ as Wausau and Vernon Commence Scheduling of Council Meetings

Residents collectively held their breath as COVID-19-related closures, cancellations and postponements disrupted life in Washington County, Florida in the Florida Panhandle.

Recently, a glimmer of hope with the potential of normalcy has been seen, in the scheduling of City Council and Town Council meetings respectively in Vernon and Wausau, Florida.

On Thursday, May 14, 2020, the Wausau Town Council will meet to discuss the fate of the Wausau Possum Festival at 6PM, while Vernon meets to resume normal City business on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 5:30PM.
