Town of Wausau, Florida Holds Emergency Meeting To Approve Lease Buyout of Cell Tower Property

On Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 4:30PM, the Town Council for Wausau, Florida met in emergency session to approve the lease buyout of municipal property leased for cell tower use.

Town Clerk Margaret Riley reported to the Council that she had negotiated for an additional $17,500 increase to the original lease buyout offer of $95,000, for a total of $112,500.

Council member Roger Dale Hagan made a motion to investigate the best investment opportunities for the monies offered by Chipley banks and the Council voted unanimously to proceed with that directive.
