Washington County Supervisor of Elections Candidate Corey Odom Joins Wausau Quilters at Weekly Meeting For Educational Seminar

By | June 16, 2020

‘Educational seminar’ might be a little lofty- what we did was have a great time quilting and then a potluck lunch, and I enjoyed my new friends at the Wausau Quilter Club’, said Corey Odom, Washington County Supervisor of Elections Candidate, on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.

Funds raised by the Quilters at the annual quilt auction feature of the Wausau Possum Festival are used to purchase materials used by the quilters to make lap robes, which are donated to nursing homes and individuals who might need the warmth they provide.

The Wausau Quilders meet every Tuesday morning at the Wausau, Florida Town Hall at 10AM, creating beautiful quilted pieces, followed by a pot luck luncheon.

‘This is a part of Americana’, said Odom following the meeting on Tuesday, ‘and I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to be embraced by this group of loving women’.

Corey Odom and her husband Mark are sponsors of this year’s Wausau Possum Festival, the event shortened due to the current health concerns.
