Mr. Gene Raymond Bush Sr., 83, of Bonifay, Florida passed away July 5, 2020 at his home.
Born on March 23, 1937 in Bonifay to the late Ivey Bush and Vietta French Bush, Mr. Bush was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Simpson, and one brother, Albert Bush.
Mr. Bush served proudly in the United States Air Force and is survived by his wife of 59 years, Merlene Bush; three children: Gene Bush and wife Lynn of Bonifay, Loretta Smith and husband Harold of Bonifay, and Bruce Bush and wife Joy of Lake Placid; ten grandchildren: Terrin Kavetsky and David, Levi Bush and Rachel, Whitney Smith Milburn and Cody, Haleigh Bush, Damon Smith, Madison Bush, Daysha Smith, Dayne Bush, Blayr Bush, and Emmalene Bush; five great grandchildren: Cooper, Hayden, Colby, Haiven, and Lennox; one sister, Annie Ruth Lee of Bonifay; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Grace Fellowship Christian Church with Reverend James Bush, Reverend Roger Whitaker and Reverend Jarrod Jenkins officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11AM at Grace Fellowship Christian Church. Peel Funeral Home is directing services and arrangements.
