DeWayne Bohannon, age 71, of Chipley, Florida passed away on October 1, 2020 at his residence.
DeWayne was born on August 18, 1949 in Sanford, FL, to Willie Frank Bohannon and Bernice Steverson Bohannon. Dewayne relocated to the Panhandle from West Palm in 1993. He loved gardening and being outdoors, he was also an avid Earnhardt NASCAR fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Bernice Bohannon; wife: Patsy Vines; siblings: Willie and Melissa.
He is survived by his son: Adam Bohannon of Chipley, daughter: Ginger Peacock (Donnie) of Alford, sister: Giovonna Bohannon of Georgia, grandchildren: Jacob Bohannon, Connor Peacock, Brooke Peacock.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, at Obert Funeral Home in Chipley, with Rev. Donnie Peacock officiating.
Obert Funeral Home of Chipley directing and interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation from 10-11AM at Obert Funeral Home in Chipley.
