Martha Compton, Director of Florida Panhandle Technical College in Chipley, Florida announced on Wednesday the winners of the school’s employees of the year, including ‘Teacher of the Year’, ‘Support Personnel of the Year’ and ‘Rookie Teacher of the Year’.
Shirley Morris, longtime Director of Nursing at FPTC was named this year’s ‘Teacher of the Year’, while Welding Instructor Chris Parrish was named ‘Rookie Teacher of the Year’.
Rita Smalley, currently working in Financial Aid, was named ‘Support Personnel of the Year, and all these winners will go on to compete County-wide as Washington County School District selects their ‘Teacher of the Year’, Support Personnel of the Year’ and ‘Rookie Teacher of the Year’ next month.
