Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Issues Executive Order 20-276; State of Emergency Extended for 60 Additional Days

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued Executive Order 20-276, extending the state of emergency declared in Executive Order 20-52 for an additional 60 days, to January 2, 2021.

Florida Department of Education Chancellor Henry Mack announced last week, ‘The waivers provided for in Section 9 of Department of Education Emergency Order 2020-EO-01, and the waivers provided through Department of Health Emergency Orders 20-003 and 20-010, providing simulation accommodations and other flexibilities associated with CTE (career and technical education) programs- specifically health sciences programs- which are attached to the life of Executive Order 20-52, are now extended’.
