Julian Wesley Owens, 88 of Chipley, Florida passed away on November 16, 2020 at his residence.
Julian was born on August 1, 1932 in Washington County, Florida to John Owens and Cora Atwell Owens. He loved being outdoors and was an avid fisherman; he was also a church member at Bonnett Pond Community Church in Chipley, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Cora Owens; wife: Patsy Owens; son: Michael Benjamin Owens; brothers: John D. Owens, Doris Owens.
He is survived by his son: David Wesley Owens of Florida; daughters: Christine Miller of Wausau, Florida, Bonnie Dee Merritt of Bartlet, Kansas, Diane Pierpoint of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, Sherry Lynn Owens of Mississippi; sisters: Iris Land of Chipley, Florida, Shirley Ramer of Sunny Hills, Florida; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Bonnett Pond Community Church in Chipley, Florida with Bro. Shawn Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Ferguson Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.
