The Vernon, Florida City Council has approved a USFA Softball Tournament to be held at the Vernon SportsPlex on Moss Hill Road on Saturday, November 21, 2020.
The event, organized by former Vernon Recreation Department member Shaina Prevatt will yield 15% of gate receipts to the City of Vernon, along with 20% of concession sales.
Prevatt has agreed to fund for and provide an off-duty Washington County Sheriff’s Department Deputy for traffic control, a point of contention in the past for Vernon City Council members.
