The Town of Wausau, Florida received the Gene Wright Municipal Resilience Award on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
When the award was presented, Wausau Mayor Bernie Palmer said, ‘Home is where the heart is, and our hearts will forever be right here in beautiful Wausau, Florida. We are proud of our heritage, of our people, and of this award recognizing both’.
‘Together we can overcome anything and thrive, and this small town has shown just that for many years’.
The award will be on display at Wausau Town Hall, located at 1607 2nd Avenue in Wausau, Florida, and Town Clerk Margaret Riley is available for comments.
